CASUAL BUS OPERATORS:
The County of Lackawanna Transit System (COLTS) is hiring Casual Bus Operators for coverage as needed. This position is safety sensitive and requires pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screening. Preferred candidates should be comfortable in all driving situations while providing customer service. The position consists of varied hours Monday through Saturday, with little advance notice and starts with a pay of $15.00+ per hour.
To be considered for an interview, you:
o Need a high school diploma or GED equivalent;
o Must show that you are a U.S. Citizen or present your proof of Employment Eligibility;
o Must have a Commercial Driver's License (CDL);
o Passenger Endorsement with no Air Brake Restriction is preferred but not required to be hired. However, the prospective employee will be expected to acquire this endorsement within two weeks of being hired;
o Must have acceptable driving record;
o Must be physically capable to perform the essential job functions;
o Must comply with all other applicable qualifications for employment established by the organization
PART TIME BUS CLEANER:
The County of Lackawanna Transit System (COLTS) is hiring Part Time Bus Cleaners as needed. The preferred candidate must be able to meet all physical requirements of cleaning a transit bus as needed.
Responsibilities during a 20-25 hour work week require the candidate to sweep, mop, and clean interiors of buses by way of washing windows, dashboards, and emptying trash receptacles. Employee must report all damages and issues on vehicles.
Pay rate begins at $9 per hour. The employee will work evenings Monday through Saturday.
